I have gathered play-by-play data from Retrosheet for the 2020 through 2025 seasons.
In accordance with the Retrosheet regulations this statement must appear prominently:

In order to do some of the quick and necessary operations that I would like to do each inning will be assigned a value of either -1, 0, or 1 for if a team "wins", "ties", or "looses" the inning respectively. Each inning will have its own individual value. The I.V.W. may be summed during operations, but to begin with I.V.W. will be separate values.
A team "wins" the inning by outscoring their opponent. A team "looses" the inning by being outscored by their opponent. A team "ties" the inning by scoring the same as their opponent.
If the Colorado Rockies played the Milwaukee Brewers and the first inning ends with a score of 0 to 0 then each team will have "tied" the inning and will have an inning one win value of 0. Then the second inning ends with a score of Rockies 0, Brewers 1 then the Rockies will have an inning two win value of -1 and the Brewers will have an inning two win value of 1.
